“While the subject of ‘Consciousness’ has become very popular, very few authors are both qualified and capable of affording it an in-depth consideration with a scholarly approach combined with personal transformation. Erhard Meyer-Galow has done so in masterful fashion. His book is a first-class documentation of experiences, discussions and suggested practices, intended to lead the sincere seekers of enlightenment to an expanded awareness of their responsibility towards themselves and others. Living in the Golden Wind is a must read, not only for business executives but for everyone who wishes to be a successful leader, one who leads from their heart.”

“Don’t wait until you die, begin to experience it now” suggests Erhard Meyer-Galow right at the beginning of his enlightening book. Gaining energy, becoming aware of opportunities, and truly finding inner peace should certainly not be restricted to people above 40. Therefore, I can only recommend this book to young people. People at the early stage of their career and their personal life.
Erhard’s book is a valuable starting point to understand and reflect about one owns way to patience, inner balance, and joyfulness. Although at the end, every one of us needs to find his or her own way to inner peace, this book offers hands on experience and useful insights (e.g., from business practice) of how such a way might look like. Thus, this book is far from being theoretical (though you may need a quiet moment to read it). It is in fact very practical. For example, when Erhard writes about his “space of experience”, such as his professional experience as a top executive, he questions expressions such as “work/life”-balance as this delineation suggest that “work” and “life” are separable entities. By explaining why “work is life” he illustrates the meaning of the Golden Wind very well, and demonstrates in a practical way how he managed to find his inner balance.
His remarks help so much to understand how inspiration, creativity, and innovation take place! So, if you graduated from college, finished your first university degree, and/or are looking for your first job, you should read this book as it is a wonderful guide to your personal way to inner balance and peace that will give you so much for your professional as well as private life. If you are looking for a preview, I suggest Erhard’s talk at University of Muenster’s entrepreneurship summer school
